Some may think they're not teachers. Some may think teaching is just not their bowl of rice. Some may take teaching as a last resort. But did u realize that all of us are teachers either directly or indirectly? Parents are the first teachers to their children. We learn to sit, to talk, to walk and be who we are today. Conversely, some may feel that you don't teach anybody BUT remember, there will always be people who learn from your actions and the way you bring yourself. You just don't realize it! Everyday we learn new things, be it in school or by observing the world around us. However, teachers make who we are today. Without them, there will be no engineers, doctors, businessmen, professionals and many more. A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops.
We think of the effective teachers we have had over the years with a sense of recognition, but those who have touched our humanity we remember with a deep sense of gratitude. As what I've quoted from a website, "You can't direct the wind but you can adjust the sails". From this, we can say that learning is just like sailing where teachers are the ones who show you the direction.
I am a teacher myself but the satisfaction feeling when the students understand what you're teaching and appreciates your hardwork makes me want to teach even more. So...teachers out there who thinks they can't stand teaching and feels that teaching is difficult and thought of quitting.. Think again.
